4 Angust 1920,

I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your

letter No: 32028/20 of 27 July 1920, and to regret my delay

in replying to the sare, due to my having been out of London.

2. I hope to be very shortly in a position to ask

for an appointment in order to discuss the various questions

upon which I am at issue with the longkong Covernment, which

include, in addition to that dealt with in my recent letter

addressed to the Rt Bonble the Secretary of State. For the

Colonies, the matters of my pension, of my having been re-

as Marshal of the Eongkong Prize Court now owing to me for

5% years, &c.

There is also the question, to which I have

frequently referred, of the short payment to me by the

Crown Agents of my salary during the war, amounting to some

hundreds
